Meagen Knapek

Psychotherapy Associate, MSW, RSW

I am a registered clinical social worker in London Ontario, and a member of the private practice, Dr Amanda Bell and Associates. I completed my bachelor of Social Work at University of Windsor.  I am a graduate of the Master of Social Work program at Wayne State University in Michigan. There my area of focus was using family system theory in various dynamics. I have always had a passion to work with youth and thus have worked in numerous areas with children to increase my knowledge. I have experience in the child welfare system, worked within the young offender system, done group work with regards to sexual abuse in different aspects and worked with children who have witnessed domestic violence.  I have provided individual counselling to children and families.  I have a high interest in how trauma impacts people and working with people to assist them in working through their own trauma. I am also currently pursuing certification in play therapy and EMDR therapy.
