Child and Youth Psychotherapy

Based on an assessment of the child’s presenting concerns, developmental stage, strengths, and interests – and in consultation with parents or guardians – one or more of the following therapeutic methods are offered:

  • Play therapy
  • Theraplay or parent/child therapy
  • Cognitive-behavioural therapy
  • Sand tray therapy
  • EMDR

The therapy plan is usually adjusted to address the young client’s evolving therapeutic needs and progress.
