Alicia Farr
Psychotherapy Associate, MSW, RSW
I am Registered Social Worker and a graduate of the Kings’ University College Master of Social Work Program. As well as holding my Bachelor of Social Work, I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Thanatology, the study of grief, death and bereavement. From the beginning of my social work career, I have always had a deep interest in working with and assisting children, teens and young adults. My trainings in the areas of child trauma, as well as my committed interests in child welfare, child sexual abuse, grief, death, dying and bereavement work and working with First Nations communities and the LGBT2QS+ community have made me privy to the lives and stories of the exceptional children I have met. Their resilience and perseverance during the therapeutic process continues to educate and inspire me in my private practice.   I have over 10 years of experience in working in private practice. I have completed courses in the unique needs of children whose families are experiencing divorce, eating disorders in children and teens, suicide intervention, attachment trauma, Trans mental health and I am EMDR trained. I utilize a multi-modal, trauma informed approach to working with a diverse range of clients.
